Configuration Wizard
Before we can start to optimize your modem, some information is required about your Internet Service Provider
(ISP).
Step One
Choose the type of tune-up test you want to run. For a more optimal modem settings, we recommend that you
run the Exhaustive tune-up test.
Step Two
Choose your service provider by selecting your connection to the Internet.
if you are using one of the below mentioned service providers, click on the
service provider you use for more information on how to complete the wizard.
For Users Using Windows 9x/NT/2000 Dialup Networking and Microsoft Network
Step Three
Dial-Up Profile
This is the dial-up profile you want to use to optimize you modem. If
there is no dial-up profile in your system, then "Please select
your dial-up profile:" will show the message "No dial-up
profile available ". In this case, you will need to create a
dial-up profile.
To create your dial-up profile:
For Windows 95/98
Click on "My Computer" folder -> "Dial-Up
Networking" folder->"Make New Connection" icon.
For Windows NT 4.0 and above users
Click on "My Computer" folder -> "Dial-Up
Networking" icon -> "New...." Button

Login
Enter your login user ID for the selected dial-up profile.
Password
Enter your password associated with your user ID.
Redial
Enter the number of times you want to try re-connecting to your ISP when
dialing fails. The default value is set to 10 times. Please enter a
number that is more than 10 times if your phone connection is known to be
unreliable.
Step Four
Web Address Configuration
Enter your Internet Service Provider's website address in the text box
provided. Ensure that the address entered is valid, as it will be used
for optimizing your modem settings.
For example, if you are using MSN as your ISP, use http://www.msn.com or
if it is NetZero, use http://www.netzero.net. (We're not promoting these
ISPs but just using them as examples.)

For Users Using America Online
Step Three
Location of your AOL Browser
Select the location of your AOL Browser "aol.exe". Eg. C:\America Online\aol.exe
Default Screen Name
Create your Screen Name by pressing on "Add". Key in your screen name. You may add more screen names
if you want to. This screen name will be used to connect to your AOL account.
Redial
Enter the number of times you want to try re-connecting to your ISP when
dialing fails. The default value is set to 10 times. Please enter a
number that is more than 10 times if your phone connection is known to be
unreliable.
For Users Using CompuServe 2000
Step Three
Location of your CS2000 Browser
Select the location of your CS2000 Browser "cs.exe". Eg. C:\CompuServe\cs.exe
Default Screen Name
Create your Screen Name by pressing on "Add". Key in your screen name. You may add more screen names
if you want to. This screen name will be used to connect to your CS2000 account.
Redial
Enter the number of times you want to try re-connecting to your ISP when
dialing fails. The default value is set to 10 times. Please enter a
number that is more than 10 times if your phone connection is known to be
unreliable.
For Users Using NetZero
Step Three
NetZero Dialer Path
Select the location of your NetZero's dialer program, "nzStart.exe". Eg. C:\NetZero\nzStart.exe
Redial
Enter the number of times you want to try re-connecting to your ISP when
dialing fails. The default value is set to 10 times. Please enter a
number that is more than 10 times if your phone connection is known to be
unreliable.
For Users Using Juno
Step Three
Juno Dialer Path
Select the location of your Juno's dialer program, "juno.exe". Eg. C:\Juno\bin\juno.exe
Redial
Enter the number of times you want to try re-connecting to your ISP when
dialing fails. The default value is set to 10 times. Please enter a
number that is more than 10 times if your phone connection is known to be
unreliable.
For Users Using EarthLink

Step Three
Dial-Up Profile
This is the dial-up profile you connect to EarthLink.
Login
Enter your login user ID for the selected dial-up profile.
Password
Enter your password associated with your user ID.
Redial
Enter the number of times you want to try re-connecting to your ISP when
dialing fails. The default value is set to 10 times. Please enter a
number that is more than 10 times if your phone connection is known to be
unreliable.

For Users Using Prodigy

Enter your password associated with your user ID.

Enter the number of times you want to try re-connecting to your ISP when
dialing fails. The default value is set to 10 times. Please enter a
number that is more than 10 times if your phone connection is known to be
unreliable.

Select the location of your AT&T WorldNet's dialer program, "WNConnect.exe". Eg. C:\AT&T\WnClient\Programs\WNConnect.exe

Enter the number of times you want to try re-connecting to your ISP when
dialing fails. The default value is set to 10 times. Please enter a
number that is more than 10 times if your phone connection is known to be
unreliable.
